This is the best coffee shop in the SE, and one of the best coffee shops in all of PDX. The baristas are super nice and not pretentious, the coffee is delicious, and the space is large and welcoming. I can't say enough good things about Albina. It's the best.

Good chai, my favorite place to work and study.
There are different types of seating; counter top, couches, small tables. I just wish they have a small oven/ microwave to heat up the croissant:) -

So tired of the pretentious, unfriendly baristas here - esp last visit the dark haired buzzcut guy. Won't come back. Super noisy as well.

A great coffee spot in Hawthorne. The space is clean and simple. They have a good selection of coffee and related beverages. Prices are reasonable. I also had a coffee cake which included espresso cream cheese, it was fantastic. Would definitely go back.

I've come here a few times to get some yummy coffee or hot chocolate and get some work done. Their hot chocolate is super cute as it has chocolatey designs on top and they've always got a foam art going on their coffees. I also ordered a London Fog that was amazing. There's pastries if you're also wanting to snack on something. There's free wifi and plenty of seating area and space to work/study. There's street and residential parking. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable about different coffees and teas. If it hasn't been evident in my review so far, this is a great place for studying/working.
